v11.4 includes new chart legends, range color methods, improvements to the interface and more.
Lastly, this release marks the first official step into the TruOI Operational Intelligence Platform (https://www.truoi.com/) where cross-application features begin to merge as a powerful, unified, real time umbrella solution for chains and franchises. TruOI may not be visible, or available, to everyone. Read more about this change here: iDashboards is now TruOI!

New Features
- New and improved Legend:
- The appearance of the legend, and legend swatch shape has been improved.
- In circumstances where the legend title bar is unnecessary, the title bar will be removed. For example, when it would previously display "Legend" the title bar will now be removed. However, in circumstances where the legend title bar is necessary, it will remain in view to distinguish the details of the legend content. One example, a legend that has paging because multiple Y-Axes are using different range color thresholds. Another example is on Mobile, where the title bar may be necessary to reposition a floating legend because the touch gesture might need to be used for scrolling within the legend.
- Large Number Abbreviation was originally released within 02/06/2020: v10.2 of the iDashboards application. This release now includes Large Number Abbreviation within the chart legend!
- Builder Interface
- Page loading performance has been greatly improved, primarily for implementations with a large number of dashboards.
- Range Color Improvements
- In the past, the dynamic range thresholds were calculated based on the largest value from all of the numeric Y-Axes. Now, the range thresholds are calculated per-axis. Keep in mind, range thresholds should always be examined and set to the specific needs of the business. But until that process begins, the new automatic ranges will be an improvement.
- Syntax/Code Editor
- In all of the areas within the application, where a particular code language is allowed, the text editor will now offer proper syntax assistance, line numbering and auto-complete (for both the language and for allowable macros/variables from within the application).

Mobile
- Multiple Page Selector
- When using a smaller mobile device, if a dashboard is configured to show the multiple-page dropdown (as seen in the title bar below) the style has changed for this release. This adjustment helps improve the aesthetics of the interface while also increasing the space available for the text that also appears within the title bar.
Old Style
New Style
Administrative
- Improved Form Usage:
- Under "System Settings > Form Settings", you can now select a data store and schema (if schemas are supported) that will be the default location for tables for newly-created "autoforms". Setting a default location for all new Forms will ease the burden when creating a new Form without wondering about the details.
Data Hub
- New Data Service, "Date Range"
- This features adds a built-in Data Feed called “Date Range” into both the Chart Designer and Data Set Designer. The function of the Date Range is to generate (on-the-fly) various types of date values for further processing or possibly to assist with doing ETL joins to help fill in the blanks with your actual data.
- Variable as List
- There is a new option within the ETL task "Create Job Variables" to now allow single column of data to be saved as a distinct variable list. The new option is called "A List of Column Values" and it could be found especially useful when Extracting from a Data Set based on a filtered condition.
- Improvements to the Text File, Data Set
- UTF-8 and UTF-16 encoding have been improved.
Feature Retirement:
In a continuous effort to improve product security, the next release will retire the ability to use URL-based Single Sign-on. Enabling this feature, against any modern security policy, greatly increases the risk for unauthorized access and it no longer has a place in our product when there are modern and effective security measures to handle authentication.
