This requires Admin privileges for setup and implementation.
An SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server is an application that its primary purpose is to: send, receive, and/or relay outgoing mail between email senders and receivers. It will have an address that can be set by the mail client or application being used, and is often formatted as: smtp.serveraddress.com. It can often be found in your mail client under: account or settings.

Notification Email Settings
- Login to Admin
- At the top click System
- Then in the menu select Settings - this will bring you to the server settings
- On the left menu select Notification Email Settings (for Alerts and Reports)
- Click the pencil to the left of Notification Enabled
- Select Yes and Save
- Click the pencil to the left of Notification Email "From" Address
- Type in your organization's Address you would like to use and Save
These two values are the only ones necessary for this to work, all other settings are changed in the same way, and are to make these emails more professional for your organization.

- Select Yes and Save

Please Note:
If you have Use Phone to Login, you will have to disable this to set this up, once you have run the Alert to connect to the server you can re-enable this feature in Gmail. This information has been tested by iDashboards Support. If you use 2-Step Authentication (MFA) then you will have to create an App Password and follow the Gmail App Password Documentation to set this up. This has not been tested by iDashboards Support.
