Enterprise Service Release v10.0c came out today.
This release combines product updates, bug fixes, and chart improvements, as noted below. In addition, the NextGen upgrade is now available for the Dashboard Private Cloud architecture. If you are a Private Cloud user, please refer to the original Release notes for v10.0 (05/30/2019: v10.0 Enterprise Release Notes) and contact your account manager to receive.
Product Updates
- Prevent Session Timeout: This System setting is now a legacy property.
- View and Build Tiles: When the interface to open/view, open/edit, or delete an item is used, it is now possible to CTRL+click to select and deselect items.
- Save-As: Using the Save-As on a dashboard will now change the active URL.
- Admin/Data Hub - Sorting issue with Users: Added ability to sort by email.
- Salesforce API Requires TLS 1.2: Salesforce is disabling TLS 1.1 therefore with unpatched installations of Data Hub, the Salesforce API connector will no longer work with any version of Java 6, because TLS v1.1 is the maximum version supported by Java 6. Any customers using Java 6 and the Salesforce API connector will have to upgrade to Java 7 or newer.
Product Bugs
- Data Admin: Fixed an issue where users with this role experienced a variety of issues loading admin pages and performing tasks.
- Stacked Column Chart: This fix resolves a variety of issues: Label position, column rendering order, handling null and zero values.
- Chart Labels: This fix removes the issue where text labels were getting trimmed with the following chart types (cropped descenders): Bubble chart, Bar chart(s), Column chart(s), Pyramid/Funnel Charts.
- Metrics Chart: This fix resolves a problem where the legend would display incorrect values and colors.
- Request Logging: Logging to fv_request_log table was improved to handle NextGen logging and Legacy logging. Certain data columns updated by both product generations may use UPPER case for legacy entries and lower case for NextGen entries.
- Migrated Parameter Defaults: A migrated dashboard parameter, using a Text Box control, has an issue when the control is changed to a Multi-Value Dropdown. The issue is an inability to use Default = ${select:all}.
- Tabular Chart Scrollbar: When header word wrap is on and used, horizontal scroll bar renders on top of chart content or the last row of a full-page chart gets cut off.
- Chart Designer > Import Data: This fix resolves an issue where long filenames would increase the height of a field, revealing the need for a vertical scrollbar.
- Chart Designer > Chart Properties > Basic Settings > Max Graph Width (Max Graph Height): This fix improves the values allowed (lower bound 20, no upper bound, decimals now permitted).
- Chart Data Diagnostics: This fix resolves a browser serialization error (converting the circular structure to JSON) when using the Chart Data Diagnostics. Also fixed an issue where the arguments section would be empty.
- IE Browser Compatibility: Fix layout in Chart Properties, Drilldown to Chart. Fix layout in Chart Designer wizard. Fix layout in Dropdown Control Configuration dialog. Fix layout in new parameter dialog. Color picker issue resolved. Macro button now works. Fixed the picklist dialog box. GeoPlot chart now works.
- Admin/Data Hub - Sorting issue with Users: Resolved issue sorting by guest/wall-display. Also fixed an issue when searching by user ID.
- Dashboard Designer Toolbar: Fixed an issue when the color icon would not update after applying a theme skin color for the frame border color.
- Long Chart Titles: Fixed an issue when the mouse-over value would not display if the chart title was trimmed to fit within the frame.
- Picklist Build Process: Fixed an issue when the Schema error dialog appeared behind the main window.
- Chart Designer: In Chart Designer, for a Chart in Personal category, changes made to Axis Formats cause a You do not have access rights to the chart:<chart_id> when selecting Next button.
- Parameters: Fixed an issue with Refresh on Change when using Datetime multi-select text. Fixed an issue related to enabling the Required? field. Fixed an issue applying a date value as a filter. Fixed an issue the parameters would disappear when changing the Data Source type. Fixed an issue where parameters were not available for import when using a Custom SQL Data Source. Fixed an issue where a semicolon would cause a required parameter to lock out the screen.
- Permissions: Resolved an issue where some users with the builder role had the ability to move a dashboard from a category with "View Only" permissions.
- Pivot Selection: This fix will now retain the selected pivot value when the setting is enabled.
- Chart Legend: In some circumstances, duplicate chart legends would erroneously appear.
- Viewer Interface: Hidden dashboards were appearing within the Recent category.
Upgrading
To upgrade please use the Support Download Site to download the CDROM files, for new clients, you will download the Production Installer. If you have used the Support Download Site in the past, you will use the same credentials. If you have not, please contact your Client Success Manager and we can help you obtain your credentials. It is often found in your license update emails, below the licensing information, you will see download URL, username, and password.
