New Features

AI Insights

Numerous new features and improvements have been added to AI Insights, since it was first released in April of 2024 in v12.8 release.

AI Insights can now visually analyze charts:

• An image of the chart, as you see it, is analyzed visually along with the actual chart data. This combination allows the user to not only explore the analysis using technical knowledge of the chart data, but also visual knowledge. For example, it is no possible to ask AI Insights questions like:
  • "Tell me about the orange bar."
  • "What was the largest slice of pie?"
  • "What do the bar colors represent?"

AI Insights can now visually analyze dashboard:

• An image of the dashboard, as you see it, is analyzed visually. Have a conversation with AI Insights to ask questions or to ask a summary about what is being shown.
  • "Summarize this dashboard."

And concerning the same dashboard, the user can continue to ask questions...

• "Tell me about the chart on the left."

AI Generate

Numerous new features and improvements have been added to AI Generate, since it was first released in June of 2024 in v12.9 release.

AI Generate can now help create...

• Alert Rules
• JavaScript Expressions
• Regular Expressions
• SQL Queries

Data Hub > Send Email with PDF Report

Within the Data Hub, the "Send Email" task was updated with the option to send a fully customizable PDF Report. For those who are familiar with our existing PDF Report based on charts and dashboards, this new feature is entirely different (initial feedback says this reporting is much more powerful!) 

• Enablement is easy. If your task is configured with "From Incoming Data", then a PDF Report can be included:

• Easily configure the:
  • File Name
  • Cover Page (optional)
  • Report Pages
  • Orientation

• Use a WYSIWYG feature-rich editor

• Enjoy the formatted PDF Report, automatically sent as an attachment via email!

Upgrading

Hosted

If you have a hosted subscription with iDashboards, your instance will be updated in coordination with your Client Success Manager.

On-Premise

To upgrade use the Product Download Site to download the product media (for new clients, you will download the Production Installer.) If you have used the Product Download Site in the past, you will use the same credentials. If you have not, please contact your Client Success Manager and we can help you obtain your credentials. The credentials are often found in your license update emails, beneath the licensing information, you will see download URL, username, and password.
