- Works with iDashboards but does not allow the use of MS Excel or MS Access as a data source using ODBC driver as this version of Java does not support any ODBC connections. You can make connections with Excel directly through iDashboards, and Access with a JDBC driver.
- To use iFrames you need to use Tomcat 9.0.28 or 8.5.48 and greater.
- Tomcat 10
Using Apache Tomcat 10 will cause a problem when attempting to deploy any WAR file from iDashboards, if the traditional "webapps" folder is used. The problem comes from an incompatibility between Java and the new requirements by Tomcat.
Solution Options:
(1) A migration process can take place against any WAR file from iDashboards:
- Tomcat Migration Tool for Jakarta EE:
- Migration Guide:
(2) By 03/01/2022, iDashboards will be providing a Jakarta version, for any WAR file from iDashboards, for use with Tomcat 10 and the traditional "webapps" folder.
