Mac Users: Date Field not Working Properly

This requires access to an Excel Document on a Mac computer.

Issue:

Date fields are not working properly on a Mac. The date field is off by 4 years and 1 day. The problem relates to an Excel setting that is set by default differently on a Mac than on a Windows computer. The setting is for Excel to use a January 2nd, 1904 starting date for Mac while Windows uses January 1st 1900. That would be why all the dates after upload show the date being 1 day and 4 years off.

Resolution:

To correct this on a Mac, change the setting in Excel to mimic Excel in Windows (since iDashboards uses a Windows based server). On your Mac, uncheck the Use 1904 System checkbox found under Advanced Options. For more information.
