Issue:
The background image within a Public Access user URL does not refresh properly Internet Explorer. The browser is not refreshing as expected, however, it is still referring to the existing image file stored in the cache which is causing the issue.
Resolution:
Make sure of the following:
- The timestamp on the image is updated with every file update.
- Internet Explorer has developer tools, which can be accessed by pressing F12 on the keyboard, that will display developer debug window.
- This allows you to set the cache to Always Refresh from Server and capture the browser traffic.
- Doing this you will always get the latest image.
- Work with your organization's networking team to set a Group Policy object on this setting so the browser always refreshes.
- This allows you to set the cache to Always Refresh from Server and capture the browser traffic.
