This requires Data Admin privileges to setup and Builder for implementation.
iDashboards provides the functionality to create a dynamic chart by selecting a single database table, view or stored procedure. Custom SQL Queries extends this functionality by providing the capability to specify a unique query to retrieve data from a dataset for a particular chart which is only available if it has been enabled within the Data Source setup
For an Existing Data Source
- Log into iDashboards Data Admin or Admin
- Select Data Sources
- Find the Data Source you would like to enable Custom SQL Queries and Edit the Data Source
- Select the Quote Table and Column Names box
- Then Save your Data Source
For a New Data Source
- Log into iDashboards Data Admin or Admin
- Select Data Sources
- If this is a new Data Source fill out all highlighted fields:
- For MS SQL Server 2000-2016
- For MySQL
- For Oracle Thin
- For PostgreSQL
- For Most Other Data Sources
- Then Save your Data Source
