This will require Builder privileges for setup and implementation.
Geoplot Maps were introduced in v9.1 as a licensed software add-on, so if you would like to utilize the GeoPlot Maps you will need to be connected to the internet to connect to out GeoPlot Map hosted server as well as having your Client Success Manager add it to your license if it is not already. Google Maps tile server uses an API that has its own terms and conditions which need to be accepted.
Utilizing Google Maps:
- Goto https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/android-api/tileoverlay
- Click Get A Key in the top right corner
- Select your Google Project
- Click Enable API
- Copy your API Key (AIzaSyChGvOYZGip8IkZe8KkKNd3avfbgz0wPE)
- Use the below URL string http://mt0.google.com/vt/lyrs=m&hl=en&x=${x}&y=${y}&z=${z}&s=Ga&key=[your key here]
- Replace the [your key here] with your API Key
- Place the completed URL string in Tile URL Template field in the chart designer.
- Set the Copyright Notice to Custom
- Set the Text to Google Maps
- Set the Link URL to https://maps.google.com
- Click Finish
Some Google Map Layer options that can be used:
- m = standard roadmap (current in above URL)
- r = standard without buildings
- h = no land
- p = terrain
- s = satellite only
- t = terrain only
- y = hybrid
