Issue:
SMS Texts by default have a very generic output. We have built in the ability to customize the SMS Texts messages that are sent out to the end user.
Resolution:
The iDashboards Support Team has created a template that you can use to improve the standard SMS Texts email template.
Installing Templates:
- Under the ivizgroup directory, create a new directory templates
- Within templates add an idbalerts directory.
- Within the idbalerts directory, add a new directory named alerts_sms
- You should now have a path that looks something like ..\ivizgroup\templates\idbalerts\alerts_sms
- Copy the attached template to the alerts_sms folder.
- The file name needs to be template.txt
- In the User Settings (each User must do this)
- From the Lobby
- Select in the top right corner Your User Image
- Then the User Settings box will appear
- Set Long Message Behavior to Send Entire Message
The attached template.txt file created as a general template. Feel free to modify the template as needed.
